In this series of works all the straight steel ‘sticks’ are 60cm long and welded by Galligan’s hand so no two pieces will be the same.

Unless painted, they will rust to a deep ochre colour.

One remarkable aspect of these sculptures is how different they look from various viewpoints.

“Heron” from two views. The steel base allows this piece to wave in the breeze. 170cm total height.

“Red Wing” 160cm tall. This red colour pops against any background.

Kinetic. These are mounted unto the concrete plinths with bearings to turn 360 degrees in the wind.

The blackened concrete plinths are textured to resemble stone. Unsealed, the colour changes from wet to dry or they are sealed to retain the darker wet look.
